03/10/2012: Forever French playlist

More French traditional songs and more francophone songs on Forever French, every Wednesday from 8 to 9:30 pm!

Last Wednesday, to welcome summer time, we played ‘sunny’ songs from Africa with Ismael Lo, zouk by Saian Supa Crew, a salsa cover version of a rai song sung by Senegalese singer Ngaari Laaw.

A touch of emotions with ‘Tajabone’ and ‘Il Suffirait de presque rien’ – a French classic,

A touch of exotism and reggae with ‘Mama’,

A touch of the 60s madness with Petula Clark…

We aim to make you love music and life. We hope you danced and sung as we did in the studio!

Our favourite singer of the night? Definitely Ismael Lo from Senegal! A golden voice on Mbalax. Mbalax is a fusion of popular Western music and dance such as jazz, soul, Latin, and rock blended with sabar, the traditional drumming and dance music of Senegal.
