After 15 years on-air, Susan Gai Dowling has been awarded the 2010 Marg Barry Award. Her tireless efforts and never-ending enthusiasm for the station have been over and above regular expectations.

As a divine singer and captivating performer, SGD (as we affectionately call her) spreads the word about Eastside Radio wherever she goes. With the support of her husband Peter, she is a strong promoter of the station, enticing potential listeners to sign up as subscribers and local businesses to become sponsors.

She has contributed not only as a presenter but as a dedicated volunteer at events and organised many fundraising activities over the years
