A celebration of Spanish and Latino language, culture and cinema!

The Moro Spanish Film Festival 2019 program includes 32 films divided into 2 sections: New Spanish Cinema and Cine Latino.

Also, we bring you a spotlight on female directors, showcasing a selection of 11 films. From well-known established directors such as Icíar Bollaín and Gracia Querejeta to fresh new voices like Lila Avilés, these films represent the strong directing talent of some of the most exciting Spanish and Latin American filmmakers.

And of course we are having a lot of events and fiestas!

Our opening night on Tuesday 16 April includes sangria and snacks on arrival, and an afterparty with Spanish tapas and paella, a tasting table from Moro Olive Oil, Spanish-inspired cocktails tasting, beer and wine, and live entertainment after the film Champions.

Cine Latino will have its own Latin event for the premiere of the Argentinean comedy Super Crazy on Wednesday 24 April at Palace Norton Street. We will have tequila and rum cocktails and live Latin rhythms before the film.

We will also have a Hispanic Night which is a 3 course experience at Platinum for the screening of the hilarious comedy My Masterpiece. We will have tapas and drinks on arrival, followed by the film with your main and dessert brought to your comfy cinema seat! This one is on 23 April, and it’s the perfect night out!

And to close the festival we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Pedro Almodovar’s hilarious Women on the Verge of Nervous breakdown at the Palace Verona on Wednesday 8 May.

A fun, free, safe and friendly Youth Week celebration

A special Youth Week community fair with an open stage for live performances, information, activities, services and more.

Start the day with beautiful yoga at 10:30am. Help paint a canvas or try jewellery-making and a spot of sport, or just relax on the Green and enjoy the live music, DJ, a free barbecue and snacks. Great prizes for performers, including studio time and movie passes.

This is an all ages event, with a jumping castle for little ones, and older folk welcome, too.

Please register to perform online but spontaneous performance is also encouraged!

Live at the Fair is a special edition of Addioson Road Community Centre’s fair. Run with Inner West Council, the Department of Human Services and Youth Off the Streets.

Hop to it - spend this Easter at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney

The Easter Bunny is back! Join in the family fun Saturday and Sunday of the Easter long weekend!
