Randwick Puppet Festival 2020

3-Day Puppet Festival for Children and Adults Comes to Randwick

Richard Bradshaw adjusted a puppet of a hippo with a backlight

Australia’s Richard Bradshaw, shadow puppeteer extraordinaire, presents a program using shadow puppets.

The Randwick Puppet Festival is coming to a venue close to you! Pop into the library to see the exhibition and to hear Richard Bradshaw talk about his life as a famous shadow puppeteer. You will find great puppet performances, puppet making workshops and even a puppet picnic where you can rub shoulders with the biggest puppets you have ever seen. All the shows are family friendly except for the Adult Puppet Cabaret for the grown-ups. You’ll find some old favourites like Dreamer who returns to the Randwick Literary Institute but this time in space! Miss Muffet emerges from a giant pop-up book and Showko brings her brilliant stand-up comedy to the Randwick Community Centre. Prices range from free to $50 for a family of 4!
