AGNSW to open June 1

NSW galleries are set to reopen from June 1. This Monday we talk to Justin Paton, senior curator, and head curator of international art at the AGNSW. Justin has been overseeing the gallery’s on-line presence during the COVID 19 crisis under the banner of Together in Art. He will also be on top of what we can  expect when the gallery reopens on the 1st June. For a complete guide to what’s going in galleries in NSW now click here.

Evelyn Richardson, Chief Executive, Live Performance Australia

Chief Executive from ‘Live Performance Australia’, Evelyn Richardson, also joins us. Live Performance Australia is the peak body that oversees the interests of performing arts companies, theatres, venues and performing arts centres as well as independent cinemas and music festivals. Evelyn will talk to us about the current state of play, the lack of government stimulus funding for the arts so far and also question how these organisations and individual artists will survive given that large gatherings will not be permitted for the foreseeable future?

ACO Principal cellist, Timo-Veikko ‘Tipi’ Valve

Australian Chamber Orchestra Principal cellist, Timo-Veikko ‘Tipi’ Valve joins us to give a personal perspective of a professional musician in shutdown. Plus he previews some of the innovative online content the ACO has been providing to their loyal fans. You can explore some their great ‘at home’ performances here.

Arts Monday, 1030-1200 May 25.
