Venus Shell Systems is Australia’s only food-grade seaweed farm processing system from sun to bottle. The company manufactures food, cosmetics and medicinal products sold under the name phycohealth.

Owner of the company, marine biologist Dr Pia Windberg, set up the Venus Shell Systems to harvest the therapeutic properties of seaweed, as  “seaweed is an important component of the human diet and has been for tens of thousands of years”.

Dr Windberg integrates and sequesters clean carbon dioxide to rapidly grow unique seaweed biomass for use in her products.
