Hi JINKS! 11 November 2021
Arts Thursday with Maisy Stapleton and Paula Towers
Maisy and Paula return to Arts Thursday after a COVID break.
Find out what’s happening in the arts and cultural area and explore the brand new gallery in the Southern Highlands – Ngununggulla – as Maisy meets the Director Megan Monte and we look at the opening exhibition Hi Jinks in the Hydrangeas, exploring the beauty and power of nature, with a particular emphasis on the gardens of the southern highlands, told in a series of beautiful works – with a twist of humour. Hi Jinks features the work of artist Tamara Dean, while Indigenous artist, Megan Cope, has created an installation in the gallery’s entrance that locates the Aboriginal identity of the site.
PHOTOS ABOVE feature the work of artist Tamara Dean, and show the original building that houses the gallery
We’ll also be talking about some of the other arts activities you can engage with at this time.
Join us from 10:30 am for Arts Thursday.
