This Arts Thursday, with Maisy Stapleton and Paula Towers the focus is on performance and the visual arts.
First up met artist Richard Rosebery who returned to painting after a successful career in business and marketing and gained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The National Art School. During 2016/17 he undertook a major commission Southerly Bondi then completed works in 2018 centred on the McDonnell Ranges –the centrepiece of his solo exhibition The Heart of Australia. Richard then spent time overseas during sketching and painting, experimenting with a European palette before returning to resume painting Australian landscapes. These works of the past three years form his third solo exhibition Journeys at Darlinghurst’s Aro Gallery which runs until April 24.
We then follow with Benjamin Knapton, assistant director at Circa to tell us about the Theatre Royal’s two Circa shows – Wolfgang’s Magical Musical Circus, and Peepshow which are being performed between April 20 to 24th.
