ARTS WEDNESDAY 5 JANUARY 2011

Happy New Year to you all!

Jonathan James will join us for Now Showing at about 9:45 am and Annette Larkin will continue with Investing in Art at about 10:10 am.

This week I will replay an interview with Dr Simon Longstaff of the St James Ethics Centre, which went to air in April 2010, when the trial for ethics classes in NSW primary schools was underway. The course (and the interview) generated a lot of interest, with strong opposition from church groups but the law has now been changed in NSW and primary school children who opt out of scripture classes, now have their entitlement to attend ethics courses enshrined in law. St James Ethics Centre has now established a new vehicle called Primary Ethics, which administers the course. You can learn more about the centre and the course by visiting www.primaryethics.com.au

Musically, I will start the year with personal favourites from CDs I acquired in 2010.

As always, I look forward to your company!
