Bron Batten and Waterloo at the Bondi Festival

Bron Batten

After her sellout 2022 show, Onstage Dating, multi Award winning actor, writer and director Bron Batten brings her one hander, Waterloo, to the 2023 Bondi Festival.

Bron Batten

The premise of the show was inspired by a previous relationship. Bron asks what happens when a lefty, Greens-voting, almost-vegan theatre artist dates a right-wing, cigar-smoking Margaret Thatcher-loving Tory soldier. Opposites can sometimes attract right, but what could possibly go wrong?

In this revised version of her hit from the 2019 Melbourne Fringe Festival, Waterloo tackles some meaty subjects such as war, violence, politics and destruction, but often told with humour and comedy.

Part of Bron’s theatrical skill includes her ability to interact with the audience to create a unique performance each time.

Waterloo runs from Thursday 6 July – Sun 9 July.
