ARTS WEDNESDAY 20 APRIL 2011

At about 9:45 am Jane Raffan will join me for Now Showing and at about 10:10 am Lindie Ward will bring us Part 5 of the History of Lace.

My special guest this morning at 10:30 am is photographer Samantha Everton, whose new exhibition, Marionettes, is showing at the Dickeron Gallery in Queen Street, Woollahra. In 11 extraordinary images, we see women about to lose it, in the process of losing it – see the image on the left, entitled Birthday Wish – and women who have lost it and are in la-la land! As awful as the subject matter is, you actually want to laugh!

Music this week will be blue: sad, lonely and blue!
