ARTS WEDNESDAY 27 APRIL 2011

At 9:45 am Jane Raffan will join me for Now Showing and at 10:10 am, Lindie Ward will present the final episode in the History of Lace.

At 10:30 am I will be joined in the studio by Yoram Gross OAM (pictured), iconic Australian film maker, best known for creating Blinky Bill and Dot and the Kangaroo. Yoram has just published his autobiography – My Animated Life in which he documents his life in Poland during the Holocaust. Joining us in the studio is his son Guy, a highly successful and award winning composer of film music, including Priscilla Queen of the Desert. I look forward to our conversation.

Much of the music will focus on Yoram’s life: songs from Blinky Bill and Dot and the Kangaroo, but also from Poland, where he grew up and Israel, where he hones his film making skills.

This will be my last show for a month and Jane Raffan will present Arts Wednesday during my absence. I’ll bookend music choices with some of my favourites so you won’t forget me!

As always, I look forward to your company!
