Join me, Jane Raffan, for a program devoted to tattoo.

Today I’ll be interviewing Geoff Ostling, former history teacher, porcelain collector and wearer of a full body tattoo by tattoo artist eX de Medici. eX de Medici is also a highly collectable fine art practitioner. The interview coincides with the opening this week of her solo show at Sullivan+Strumpf Fine Art in Zetland.

Geoff Ostling plans to donate his skin to the National Gallery of Australia. We will chat about Geoff’s personal journey and touch on elements of tattoo’s move into the mainstream and its journey from taboo to treasure.

The music will include jazz inspired by art, and tracks on the theme of Geoff Ostling’s tattoo body suit, “The Garden of Earthly Delights”, as well as contemporary songs with tattoo metaphors.

I’ll be presenting Arts Wednesday over the next 5 weeks while Sylvia is enjoying a well earned holiday, and I look forward to your company!
