Eastside Radio presents SONIC TALES!

After months of planning and production radio plays are back and ready for your listening pleasure.

Tune in over the next three weeks during Arts, Drive and a host of other shows for our first round of radio plays.

There are 6 different plays and monologues featuring a number of Sydney’s finest theatre contributors.

Its your Funeral: Parents receive a phone call from a son whose funeral they have just held. Confusion reigns.

A Walk In The Park: A black comedy where two friends are discussing the pros and cons of taking a walk in the park. One sees a glass brimming with life. The other’s is decidedly empty.

Kev Golsby’s monologues, Sonic Shorts, all have a Monty Python-esque tinge to them, and range from a modern twist on Jack and the Bean Stalk to detailed descriptions of  Ankles, Knees and Bottoms.

Tune in on Monday 23 May (Arts Monday) for the official launch of Sonic Tales –  this newly created venture that captures the nostalgia of old time radio plays and brings it into the 21st century.

And dont forget, we’re still on the look out for scripts, no longer than 20 minutes.
