Join me, Jane Raffan, for the last of my current full-length programs for Arts Wednesday, which will be a Green show.

I’ll be interviewing Ruth Hessey, Director of Communications for the Total Environment Centre and Writer/Director of the short documentary film Waste Not, which was highly commended at Flickerfest in the inaugural Green Flicks category and has now been selected for competition at Cannes.

The film’s tag line is “A beautiful and emotional film about garbage”. It is a surprisingly optimistic and powerful message about how everyday people and their attitudes can, and do, make a difference.

This will be the last of my 5 programs standing-in for Sylvia Rosenblum, who returns to the studio next week. It has been great fun sharing some of my favourite current exhibitions, offbeat stories and music with you over the past five weeks; I hope you have enjoyed our journeys together.

The music for this week’s program takes it cue from the theme of Waste Not – recycling!  As a wrap, I’ll be playing some of the artists and tracks from my programs over the past 4 weeks: Tattoo, Totem, Taboo;  Heads Up! Portraiture & The Archibald Prize;  A Rave About Red;  and last week’s Journeys with Ace Bourke.

And don’t forget, Arts Wednesday has a new start time of 10:30 am.
