“A good song is one that really gets inside you, it gets everyone moving and smiling.”

He chooses songs; timeless tunes with rhythm, melody and lyrics from the original version of Sway to recordings – Liz Wright’s cover of Neil Young’s Old Man and Florence and the Machine’s version of  Buddy Holly’s Not Fade Away. And of course all the wonderful music from the Great American Songbook, interpreted by artists from Sinatra to RACHAEL PRICE.

Florence and the Machine performed a cover of Buddy Holly‘s “Not Fade Away“

“I love great songs interpreted by passionate artists whether traditional or 21st century.” says Stuart. He also supports new vocalists and musicians performing well known songs as well as self-penned tracks.

Passionate about music, he loves discovering new arrangements such as Everything But The Girl’s drum and base version of Corcovado and the soon to be released Amy Winehouse duet with Tony Bennett – Body and Soul.

“A great song always remains a great song.”

The previous head of Sony BMG Entertainment-International, marketed artists from John Farnham to Elvis Presley’s remastered greatest hits which sold nine million copies. He made documentaries for television on John Denver and Australia’s Johnny O’Keefe. He has worked with many artists globally from Elton John, Whitney Houston, Tony Bennett and Jimmy Buffet in a career that took him from New Zealand to New York for over 40 years.

His musical tastes were first influenced by the coolness of 50’s music heroes from Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole to Herb Alpert at the start of the 60’s.

“I play music I like in a Taste of Honey to keep listeners coming back because they know they’re going to hear some great songs flowing through the hour and a half and hopefully allowing them to have great memories that the music has bought to their lives.”
