Do you love listening to our show VOICE OF INDIA? Yes? Well this is the festival for you!
This vibrant, colourful and spiritual festival immerses each individual in the rich heritage of Indian culture.
While adults can enjoy a host of tantilising food stalls, classical Indian and Bollywood dance performances, intricate hand-made craft and lifestyle seminars, including yoga and astronomy, the kids will be kept busy with jumping castles, face painting and much more.
When: Saturday August 6, 11:00am – 5:00pm.
Where: Ian and Nancy Turbott Auditorium, UWS (Parramatta Campus), Cnr Victoria Road and James Ruse Drive, Parramatta (Easily accessible by train/bus/parking available on site).

Surry Hills Library: Live Music
Enjoy a chilled out afternoon at The Surry Hills Library, while you listen to the acoustic indie sounds of LW Major and some folk rock tunes from Simon Bruce.

Jeans For Genes Day
This Jeans For Genes Day head to Martin Place and look for the Jeans for Genes branded marquees and entertainment stage.
You can show your support for The Children’s Medical Research Institute by purchasing Jeans for Genes badges & merchandise and enjoying nibbles and entertainment from Outback Steakhouse, Krispy Kreme, Liam Burrows, Brent Street Kids and Diana Corcoran.
Looksmart Alterations will also be present providing standard jean shortening services to Sydney-siders for just $5.00 per pair of jeans. Again, all proceeds on the day will be donated to the Children’s Medical Research Institute, the service is expected to take about 15-minutes per pair.
When: Friday, August 5, From 7:00am – 4:00pm.

Eat History Exhibition
The Eat History exhibition, opens on 3 September as part of History Week. The exhibition focuses on the traditions of food in Australia and is a journey through changing cooking methods and eating habits.
Randwick City Council is asking local residents to hunt through their cupboards for interesting kitchen items which could be used in an exhibition. If you would like to loan the Randwick Council some of your ‘kitchenalia’ (old appliances, cookbooks, utensils and cooking pots), visit www.randwick.nsw.gov.au.
When: Monday August 1 – Saturday September 3, All day.
Where: Bowen Library, Maroubra 669 -673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra NSW 2035.
Cost: A quirky utensil of your choice, the exhibition will be FREE!

The Coogee Bay Comedy Fest
Lovers of comedy will have the opportunity to come together and show their support for Sydney Children’s Hospital at a special fundraiser to be held at Coogee Bay Hotel.
The ‘Coogee Bay Comedy Fest’ is a part of the Coogee Bay Hotel’s commitment to the advancement of the local community. Tickets are priced at $30 and all proceeds will be donated to the Sydney Children’s Hospital.
