Sideshow Pony is the Leonie Cohen Trio’s second album following on from their earlier release Jerusalem. The album features an array of original compositions and lovely covers of standards, with the Trio dedicating some of the tracks to her family.

Joe Chindamo – Anyone Who Had A Heart The Music Of Burt Bacharach
A re-issue of the 1997 Aria award nominee and Best Australian CD of the year, Joe Chindamo’s Anyone Who Had A Heart The Music Of Burt Bacharach is challenging classic status, featuring stunning covers of some of the most popular 60’s songs composed by singer songwriter Burt Bacharach.

Independent Track Of The Week
Today’s independent track of the week was ‘Mexico City Blues’ by Cal Williams Jr.
Sam Newton – Sam Newton
Sydney singer songwriter Sam Newton has performed all over Sydney including venues such as The Raval, The Basement and The Vanguard. This represents his debut release and is a well crafted country folk pop composition.

A Track From Eastside Radio’s New Album Of The Week!
‘Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye’ by My Goodness McGuinness! from the album Insular Peninsular
This stunning debut from Sydney locals Karoshi took three and a half years to make – but it was worth the wait. Their sound is a blend of Portishead, Massive Attack, James Blake and Sigur Ros, an ethereal folktronic album. I love this one.
