Eastside’s Darling Susan Gai Dowling hits New York!
Eastside radios ‘Friday Arvo’ presenter – Susan Gai Dowling, took to New York in early October to show case her aussie jazz vocal talents. Playing at the infamous Birdland, Susan was added to a rich jazz history of greats who have also graced the Birdland stage, such as: Charlie Parker, Count Basie, Oscar Peterson and John Coltrane.
With reviews like: ”Her voice is warm and slightly smokey and above all it is a real Jazz voice,’ and ‘After hearing her sing I could understand why she was in demand on the Sydney scene after so many decades,’ Susan was undoubtalby a great success.
