Eastside Radio’s HUGE week November 5-10 – BLACK GOLD AND ALPHAMAMA

Eastside Radio 89.7fm presents two HUGE events on November 5th and 10th.

Eastside Radio showcases the diverse specialist music that we are best known for on air with two exciting events. The festivities kick off with Black Gold on November 5, with Eastside Live at 505 featuring ALPHAMAMA joining the party on November 10.

Eastside Radio presents Black Gold, a record fair with an Eastside 98.7fm twist. Eastside Radio brings you the best of the best, we have hand selected some of Sydney’s top DJ’s and collectors; who are guaranteed to bring GOLD.

This is not your average record selection, with a mix of jazz, swing, soul, funk, hip hop, electronic, reggae and world genres, Black Gold offers up the music aficionados vinyl dream for all to enjoy. All killer. No Filler.

Black Gold features collections from: Fuse/Title Records, Revolve Records, Mark Walton , Sean O’Brien (Tender Trap), Toon, Peter Smetana (Freedom Jazz Dance), Kevin Purdy, The Vinyl Junkie, Alex Dimitriades – And plenty more…

The Local Taphouse hosts Black Gold in true style, offering the best boutique beer and a sunny courtyard terrace to kick back, share your record finds and listen to some of Sydney’s best Dj’s spinning tracks to envy.

BLACK GOLD: THIS SATURDAY November 5th from 11am-4pm at The Local Taphouse 122 Flinders St Darlinghurst – All welcome! Entry is only $5 and all money raised helps Eastside Radio stay on air.

EASTSIDE LIVE AT 505 FEATURING ALPHAMAMA

Eastside Live at 505 featuring ALPHAMAMA and DJ Taline is next on the bill for Eastside Radios event bonanza.

Influenced by her culturally diverse heritage (Indonesian, South African), ALPHAMAMA, a.k.a. Anita Meiruntu, will take to the stage to dish out servings of her irresistible mix of bright musical delights, flavoured by steaming styles from around the globe including Soul, Funk, Latin, Brazilian, Reggae and Hip Hop.

Accompanied by her all-star, all-girl band, The Love Drug with Dj sets from Eastside Radio’s Soul Sister Taline, ALPHAMAMA at venue 505 is going to be HOT.

Eastside Live at 505 presents ALPHAMAMA: NEXT THURSDAY November 10th. Doors open at 7:30pm for an 8:30pm start. Tickets are $10 for Eastside Supporters and concessions and $15 for adults. Live Broadcast on Eastside Radio 89.7fm from 9:30-11pm.

Eastside Live at 505 will return on 8th December with Mucho Mambo, a 10 piece Cuban inspired band.
