A Taste Of Honey December 8th

Picking the best songs from Harold Arlen(born Hyman Arluck 15th February 1905) is difficult at best but the playlist below has my favourite picks and some great versions.Fortunate enough to be talented as a composer (and he sang a little too!!!!),the fact that he lived in a time where he was able to have collaborators as talented as Johnny Mercer,Ted Koehler,E Y (Yip) Harburg and Ira Gershwin has guaranteed the body of work he created with them is timeless.Assuming you enjoyed the music ,just for a bit of fun check out the videos of Groucho Marx and The Muppets for “Lydia,The Tattooed Lady” on www.utube.com.

If you have any requests or would like more information on the songs played on “A Taste Of Honey” drop me a note at stuart@eastsidefm.org
