A Taste of Honey Feb 16 2012

Its awards time everywhere and it occurred to me that apart from the obvious winners there are many memories held by us all from  nominees that made the final cut but not the prize…so many in fact, that over the next two weeks, classic songs and themes from the movies will form my two shows…..from the epic movie’Exodus’ starring Paul Newman(left) to the theme music from”The Magnificent Seven’ that made Steve McQueen’s(left) career blossom, to the music of Elmer Bernstein,Cole Porter,Harry Warren and Johnny Mercer,Harold Arlen,Lerner and Loewe and more, all featured in timeless bodies of work both musical and cinematographic……..and two weeks of programming does little justice to the wealth of art contained in these areas. However I will slip worthy choices in across the year just for you…..ENJOY “A Taste of Honey” from the Movies!
