A Taste of Honey March 15 2012

My late father would not let me have Elvis Presley music in the house when I was 13(1960)-when I worked for the company that represented Elvis’ catalogue he actually admitted ‘he was not as bad an influence on his son as he once thought’ – my first album ever ‘Bobby Rydell'(pic left) – his version of ‘Sway’ still cuts it today…..and the influence of the music played in our house enabled my passion for music to grow over the years and certainly growing up ‘a career in the record business’ was never an ambition – however it happened and I thrived on the music and the people involved. In celebrating my 65th birthday, I hope you have enjoyed some of the memorable artistes and tracks that influenced my taste in music from the late 50’s to today and hope you continue to enjoy them far into the future.Too many choices  for this  90 minutes, but plenty of material for future ‘Tastes of Honey’!!
