Coming to Armchair Traveller this Monday…

Karen Halabi has edited three Australian travel magazines, been a sub editor with Fairfax  (on the Sun Herald), and also  deputy editor and editor of a Sydney newspaper, Sydney Weekly. More recently, as a writer for Tourism Australia, she learnt everything there is to know about what there is to see and do on the world’s smallest continent, including the fact that there’s a pub in outback Australia with a beer drinking pig.

Nowadays, as one of the members of globaltravelwriters.com she concentrates on travel writing, and freelances as a photo-journalist for papers and magazines around the globe. She is only too willing to be lured away by the opportunity to check out another upmarket resort, retreat or spa.

On Monday November 30th  she’ll be talking to Maria Visconti about a recent trip to Slovakia where she stayed in an historical spa town and visited a castle with a resident ghost.
