Darth Vegas – Brainwashing For Dirty Minds

Eastside Radio’s Album Of The Week is Brainwashing For Dirty Minds by Darth Vegas.

Brainwashing For Dirty Minds is the Sydney seven-piece band’s sophomore album after their 2004 self-titled release – and the band have carried on as energetically and uniquely as they last left us.

Darth Vegas don’t just experiment with genres, they absolutely smash through them as Brainwashing For Dirty Minds skips frantically through jazz, funk, gypsy, tango, electronica and death metal in a wild eclectic fashion. Indeed the style of music could be better described as an untamed expanse of controlled chaos. However what a fantastic and hooking form of chaos they have created!

Original is not a powerful enough word to describe how unique Darth Vegas’ sound is. If you could imagine Willy Wonka, Beetlejuice, and the Mad Hatter all meeting up in a cartoon acid hazed tea party/psychedelic rave, then you’re half getting to what the album experience is like. It is art from the wildest of imaginations and it will take you to a space you didn’t know existed.

Brainwashing For Dirty Minds is a release by Romero Records. For more information go to romerorecords.com.au

Stay closely tuned to Eastside as we are giving away a copy of Brainwashing For Dirty Minds to a listener every day this week!
