ARTS WEDNESDAY 18 JULY 2012

At about 10:40 am we will hear Part 3 of our series on Australian fashion with Glynis Jones, curator of Dress and Fashion at the Powerhouse Museum and this week Glynis talks about Muslim women’s fashion.

At 11:00 am I will be pleased to play an interview I recorded with Khanh Trinh, curator of Japanese art at the Art Gallery of NSW and curator of the new exhibition about Kamisaka Sekka, the great Japanese designer of the early twentieth century. The exhibition is wonderful and Khan’s extensive knowledge brings an extra element to our understanding of the man and the Rinpa movement he re-introduced to Japan.

Music is Japanese: Japanese artists and/or Japanese-inspired.

As always, I look forward to your company.

Khanh Trinh
