A Taste of Honey September 13 2012

I love The Kingston Trio(pic.left) and couldn’t resist playing ‘Scotch and Soda’ today..,intermingled with a few Gerswhin songs……George & Ira(pic.right)whose legacy constantly reminds me of the genius in both of them -regardless of versions of their songs, there is always something great to listen and reminisce to………Jose Feliciano sang a lot of other people’s songs but thats OK-they were great recordings made better by his skill with the guitar which earned him his place in contemporary music history-and its easy to be “snobby” about music BUT one cannot deny Lionel Richie’s songwriting genius and the album ‘Tuskegee‘ where he has recorded with the royalty of Nashville’s music community is well worth any music lover’s investment in time and ears !-its an  album of great songs, great production -more next week on ‘A Taste Of Honey’.
