Medecins Sans Frontieres and Eastside Radio
Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), often known as Doctors Without Borders, is the world’s leading organisation dedicated to humanitarian aid. They provide relief and aid to countries devastated by natural disasters and they run emergency feeding programs during times of nutritional crisis. They tackle diseases affecting a huge portion of the world’s population such as AIDS and tuberculosis.
MSF is currently working in over 60 countries, funding and training nurses, doctors, administrators, mental health practitioners and many more to provide access to vital health services where it was not previously available. Their work throughout Asia, South America, Africa and Oceanic countries is imperative to maintaining and improving the health of many unprivileged countries.
Communications company Republic of Everyone has joined forces with MSF to create one-of-a-kind online media platform MSF.TV, providing innovative video content to raise awareness and get people involved in this worthy cause. MSF.TV promises to take it’s viewers on the Medecins Sans Frontieres journey to “go where others don’t”.
The campaign aims to bring people closer to the goals and actions of the organisation, with footage from Sudan to Papua New Guinea, all led by the production team @radical.media.
Eastside‘s own music program Fuse will be a part of the project, with Andy Glitre presenting a month long series of programs dedicated to the campaign.
