November already-time flies when you are having fun !!! or is just because when you get older it seems to go more quickly??Always fun putting together each week’s playlist and today we celebrate musician,actor and Texan Lyle Lovett’s(pic.right) 55th birthday by playing one of his original songs and to demonstrate the depth of his talent two of his interpretations from the movies.I worked with Hugh Masakela(pic.left) and had the good fortune of seeing him perform several times-passionate and talented anmore neext weekBest,Stuartd a real ambassador for freedom-some big band tracks,Julie London,Annie Ross and Gerry Mulligan and two of my favourite interpreters of songs,Cassandra Wilson and John Pizzarelli. One always hopes when thinking ahead to Thursday that the weather man is right-I hope ‘Sunny Afternoon’ is a good omen for all.
