At 10:40 am we continue with Part 3 of our series about musical instruments in the Powerhouse Museum collection with curator Michael Lea. This week he talks about contemporary instrument makers.

At 11:00 am I will be pleased to play an interview I recorded with Laila Ellmoos, historian with the City of Sydney’s history unit. Many of you know that at Eastside, we broadcast out of the Paddington Town Hall. The grand old building has been undergoing a facelift so it seemed timely to talk about its history.

Music for this week is fusion and  has been chosen by Eastside trainee Shaami Sivasubramanian, who will join me at the console for the program.
