A Taste Of Honey January 24 2013

There were some ‘gaps’ in the recent concert featuring Dianne Reeves (pic.left),Lizz Wright and Angelique Kidjo in terms of what they could have done BUT the breadth of their performances on disc provides some of the music for today’s show.Throw in their regular musicians Romero Lubambo(guitar),MunyungoJackson(percussion)and Terri Lynne Carrington (drums)and you have some amazing ‘ Tastes of Honey’ musically speaking.Without doubt,most of us have rocked and sung along with Neil Diamond(pic.right)and who has lasted the test of time as a writer and performer- 41 years(1972/3) ago the album ‘Hot August Night’ spent 29 weeks on the Australian charts at #No 1 -and re-entered the charts at #No5 in1982 so it is fitting that we celebrate the artiste’s birthday with a track from this album……….Cool Tunes For Hot Days and they keep on coming-ENJOY PEOPLE!!
