Summary
2013 marks the 30th Anniversary of Eastside Radio. This is an important year of celebration and the station sound will play an integral role in this event.
We are currently seeking several interns to fulfil the role of a Sound Producer for Eastside Radio.
The successful candidate will already possess advanced editing skills and be familiar with either/or Pro-Tools, Logic or Audition. The position is for approximately 16 hours a week.
Short listed applicants will be interviewed by the Station Manager and the Business Development Manager.
Last year Eastside Radio was nominated as finalist in the CBAA Award for Sound Production.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a unique and innovative community station.

Duties:
- Produce all various sound spots for Eastside Radio
- Source different voice over artists to ensure variety
- Create contemporary sound designs to establish Station relevance
- Mix and master promos for both on air and email distribution
- Manage client expectations especially upon resubmissions
Selection Criteria
- Advanced sound editing skills
- Able to turn around production requests within 48 hours at most.
- Ability to input into the creative process – e.g. scripts, voiceovers, song selection, mixing and sound design briefs
- Experience in liaising with voice over artists
- Strong sense of music relevant to Eastside’s audiences
- Excellent communication skills
- Good face to face presentation skills
- Ability to manage station volunteers
- Ability to work remotely as well as in office
