Arts Wednesday 20 February 2013
We have a big and busy program for today! First up, at about 10:35, we commence a new series of Sydney By Design with Ed Lippmann, his time called Conversations With Philip Drew. Philip is regarded as Australia’s foremost architectural writer and historian and in the series, we discuss matters dear to his heart.
Then I’ll be pleased to replay you an interview I recorded with Tamara A, being the A of AES+F, the Russian art collective who wowed us with their video installation at Cockatoo Island at Biennale 2010. Tamara and Lev (the E) were in Sydney for the opening of Angels.Demons at the Anna Schwartz Gallery at Carriageworks. It is an absorbing exhibition and she is a most interesting woman.
Finally, soon after 11:00 am, I’ll plat an interview I recorded last week with Penelope Benton and Alex Clapham, the joint Atistic Co-Directors of Art Month, opening across Sydney in March. They are young and dynamic and this is the sort of festival we can look forward to.
Music this week will be about art.
I do hope you can keep me company!
