Arts Monday 11 March 2013
Join me, Jane Raffan, for a program discussing 30 years of photography, as represented in the premier magazine Photofile.
Photofile is the region’s oldest art magazine seriously dedicated to photography. It is published by the Australian Centre for Photography, our neighbours up the road here from Eastside in Paddington.
I’ll be chatting with Michael Fitzgerald, editor of Photofile, about the journal’s history, and its relaunch after a hiatus of two years. And we’ll also look at some of the ACP’s programs, including its Autumn season.
More on the ACP and the magazine here: https://www.acp.org.au/photofile
And the music? We’ll be listening to an eclectic playlist with vocals and musical vignettes about pictures, photos, memories and … you get the drift. Featured artists: Rob Burger, Tom Waits, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Jim Croce, Loudon Wainwright III, Lisa Gerrard, Pat Metheny, Gary Numan, Peter Gabriel and more.
As always, I look forward to your company, 10:30 to noon.
Jane
