Sounds Of Soul chronicles and playlist (15.3.2013): Interstate visitors

I’ve always enjoyed having guests at the Sounds Of Soul radio show, mainly because I think it leads to more diversified programs, but also because I enjoy having fellow collectors and musicians in the studio. It’s always good to have somebody else in and have a direct reaction to what’s played and a nice chat about the music we all love, unlike the shows when I’m on my own solely relying on online posts and occasional phone calls as feedback. Thankfully Sounds Of Soul has become a kind of meeting point for Rare Soul DJs traveling through Sydney and that’s why I could get two of the most prolific ones in Australia in the studio for last Fridays show. Denny Johnson from Perth and Todd Cavender from Adelaide are both known for their excellent taste, extensive collections and great knowledge, so it’s no wonder that last Fridays show paned out to be the highlight of this year.
