A Taste Of Honey March 28 2013

I have recently been totally enthused by the audio and associated DVD concert compilation entitled “Troubadors – The Rise Of The singer/Songwriter” and decided to construct a programme(s) around this theme.The term ‘troubador’ is defined as a French Medieval lyric poet composing and singing in Provencal in the 11th-13th centuries,especially on the theme of courtly love.More recently the definition is ‘a poet who writes verse to music’-so taking either definition I have chosen a handful of 20th century singer/songwriters to enable you all to experience a taste of their talent and overtime introduce more talent to you all in the mould of Kris Kristofferson(pic.lft),Rita Coolidge(pic.Rt),Joni Mitchell,Crosby Stills & Nash,Laura Nyro,Eagles  and their co-writers such as JD Souther,Jimmy Webb,Carole King and that’s just for starters-Happy Easter all xxxx
