A Taste Of Honey April 11 2013
I was very fortunate to be asked by my neighbours to go and see Playing For Change.Supporting this engaging group of musicians was a local singer/songwriter who just blew me away(together with My wife and the neighbours).I am talking about Genevieve Chadwick(pic rt.) who was my guest today.Self taught with a few lessons locally in rural NSW,the influences in song and guitar style from such artistes as JJ Cale(pic.lft),Van Morrison,The Band are evident in her current album.Other influences come via James Taylor,Crosby,Stills,Nash& Young and I can hear in her gravelly voice ,wisps of the late, great Janis Joplin.I am excited about her new album and I direct you to her website www.genevievechadwick.com to find out more about this talented Australian artiste.
