Tom Vincent Morphic Resonance Project – Just Enough

Jazz from Tasmania, Tom Vincent leads the quartet on piano and is joined by Danny Healy on Tenor Sax and bass clarinet, Leigh Barker on double bass and Alf Jackson on drums. Influences from the likes of John Coltrane and Thelonius Monk are abundant, a fast paced and energetic release. Catch them at 505 in Surrey Hills on Saturday 18th May.

Aaron Diehl – The Bespoke Man’s Narrative

A new release on Mack Avenue, and the debut album from pianist Aaron Diehl. He’s joined by Rodney Green on drums, Warren Wolf on vibes and David Wong on bass. A combination of originals and classics, there’s a classy feel to the album with a modern edge mainly provided Wolf’s vibes.

Iron & Wine – Ghost On Ghost

Out now on 4AD/Remote Control Ghost On Ghost is the fifth album from American Iron & Wine. His sound has evolved over the years and the latest offering serves up an eclectic blend of neo soul, indie, folk and blues all topped off with a hint of Jazz sensibility. A modern album that also had a sense of nostalgia to it.
