The National Award for an Original, Freestanding Sculpture!

This year marks the 13th year of the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize.  This attracts strong support from artists, collectors and critics. It’s the first and only national acquisitive prize that showcases the quality and diversity of sculptures of smaller dimensions.

The judges this year will be Nick Mitzevich, Director of the Art Gallery of South Australia and Professor Ian Howard, College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales. This first and national prize for sculptures up to 80 cm in any dimension is offering a total of $13.000. The winners of the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize ($10.000) and the Special Commendation ($2000) will be chosen from exhibited works. The viewer’s choice ($1000) will be announced at the conclusion of the exhibition.

From more than 500 national and international artist entries, the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize selects only 40 finalists whose works are exhibited over a 16 day period at the historic Woollahra Council Chamber in Double Bay, Sydney, Australia.

Entries are now open.
