Sounds Of Soul chronicles and playlist (21.06.2013): Party down

LiveAfter we celebrated 30 years of Radio Eastside in last week’s rather tumultuous SOS show, it’s more than overdue to thank all the attendees of our little in-studio bash. First and foremost I’d like to express my personal gratitude to all the new and renewed supporters of Eastside, without your contributions our little station couldn’t flourish like it does. The good news is that you can expect something other than bills and advertising flyers in your letterbox soon and if you signed up during Sounds Of Soul there will be a little extra from us in your letter on top of it. Of course I also want to thank the crew at the station who handled the steady flow of callers and kept the pizzas coming. And it’s time to acknowledge the priceless verbal contributions of co-presenter Northern Soul Poster Boy who is always ready to stir up the masses when our annual Radiothon is on. Last but not least I’d like to thanks the listeners who helped me to select the 17 best tracks out of the SOS top 30 –here is their selection as played last week:
