Today on Arts Friday Maren Smith and Charlotte Karp are filling in for Chris Horsey with four guests from the Sydney arts scene including Anny Slater from the Good Dog Film Festival, Matthew Brangan and Chester Garcia from new arts initiative, Work-Shop, and Frederick Copperwaite from Aboriginal performing arts company, Moogahlin.

The Good Dog Film Festival has been put together by dog and arts enthusiast Anny Slater as a way of bringing people and their dogs together from the 6th – 8th of September. Work-Shop is a new initiative set up by Matthew Brangan and Chester Garcia in Chippendale as a way of providing affordable arts classes and workshops for the community. Some classes include magic lessons, tea appreciation, screen printing, string gardens, introduction to 3D printing, as well as including a platform for seniors to being in their laptops, iPads and phones for technological help sending emails, downloading Skype and trouble shooting general technical problems.
