“In private we can be anyone, do anything, and say whatever we like – but the self we parade for the world to see can be a different thing. This year, Art & About Sydney explores Private Lives… Public Places with some very private moments on show in very public locations.” – Creative Director Gill Minervini

“Art & About is a joyous celebration of our city’s creativity. It’s an invitation to get out and look at our public spaces in a new way. I hope you take it up.” – Lord Mayor of Sydney Clover Moore

More than 50 associated events are included in the Art & About Sydney 2013 program, from interactive experiences and exhibitions to workshops and photography challenges. If it feels too hard to keep track of all this, there is even a “what’s on near you today” page, to help you discover exactly what suits.
