Voices Of Angels

Group of young children in choral robes on steps.

Sydney Children’s Choir

Sydney Children’s Choir and Gondwana Voices return to City Recital Hall Angel Place to present the much-loved Christmas concert Voices of Angels, featuring the Goldner String Quartet.

This year’s concert will be a wonderful mix of the world’s great carols. The choirs will take the audience on a journey through a rich variety of music from around the globe, performing Christmas music from Africa, France, South America and the United Kingdom, and also Dan Walker’s dynamic Hanukkah medley.

Conducted by Lyn Williams OAM, Australia’s leading director of choirs for young people and founder (in 1989) of the Sydney Children’s Choir, which is now one of the world’s most innovative children’s choirs.

Sydney Children’s Choir will join with the Gondwana Voices, a national choir with members spanning across Australia who have built a worldwide reputation for choral excellence. The magnificent joint choir of 250 angelic voices from across the country will perform a number of traditional carol favourites, along with festive music from around the world. The accompanying musicians, the Goldner String Quartet, have widespread and long-standing recognition for excellence as not only as Australia’s pre-eminent string quartet, but as an ensemble of international significance.
