We’re thrilled to invite you to the Sydney Premiere of this new documentary about one of our favourite , forward-thinking hip hop labels, Stones Throw Records.
Following its opening earlier this year at the L.A. Festival and direct from the documentary’s producer/director Jeff Broadway, this will be the first time Sydney audiences can hear the full story from label co-founder Peanut Butter Wolf as he takes the viewers through forming the label with Charizma, to present day.
With a soundtrack by MADLIB, this full-length feature film draws on over hundred hours of footage from filmmaker Jeff Broadway, live concert footage, never-before-seen archival material, inner-circle home videos and photographs and in-depth interviews with the folks who put Stones Throw on the map, in order to delve deeper into the label’s enigmatic artists, history, culture and global following.
