Artistes come from all backgrounds-they have the ability to follow their dreams with passion and perseverance-my guest today is an mechanical engineer by profession and doubles up from being a Management Consultant and Trainer to a busker that has successfully balanced this lifestyle in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres.Gerald Renger(pic near left) hails from Germany and his performances, guitar playing style and songwriting has been heavily influenced by Carole King & James Taylor (pics right).I was enthused by Gerald and his interesting life when I met him earlier this year so I invited him to come and play in the studio, entertain us with some original songs and join me in discussing songs and songwriters from John Denver’s very first effort to the songs to the wonderful Laura Nyro (pic far left),Rita Coolidge,Jimmy Webb,Billy Joel and more.
