The New Weave exhibition on show at Object Gallery until March 23rd explores traditional weaving techniques transmogrified by unexpected materials and means of fabrication – from barbed wire to canes of glass. Co Curators Lisa Cahill and Carrie Mulford speak of the underlying  rationale and featured artists in the exhibition. https://www.object.com.au/exhibitions-events/on-now/

Patricia Casey is a photographer who prints on fabric and embroiders her work to create ethereal, mysterious pieces, redolent of the past but grappling with entirely contemporary issues.

She speaks of her inspiration for the exhibition Little Secrets, at the NG  Gallery until 22nd March.  www.patriciacasey.com.au , https://www.ngart.com.au/
