Soul of Sydney Block Party Featuring Watussi

Pay attention Latin lovers and Funk aficionados, Watussi, the 8 piece latin funk sensations are headlining the upcoming Block Party hosted by Sydney’s funkiest musical collective Soul of Sydney. Soul of Sydney has been built around ‘Feel Good Funk’, jams that make you want to dance and groove all night long.

 This Block Party’s feature act Watussi is sure to fit the bill. Led by charismatic frontman Oscar Jimenez, the 8 piece outfit, who specialise in latino soaked funk, are beginning to make an impact on the international stage. Having recently completed tours of Asia and South America, they also supported the legendary Carlos Santana’s tour of the country in 2011. The exciting octet are sure to inject some energy and vitality into the party, and this is your chance to see them before they kick off their busy schedule of festivals around the country and at WOMAD NZ.

Watussi will be the main act but of course a great mix of Soul of Sydney’s DJs and friends will be there to make this day unforgettable and keep you feelin’ funky all evening. The Venue has not yet been announced, but Soul of Sydney won’t disappoint and are sure to pick an intimate space with a big dance-floor and plenty of character.
