Gian Slater and Invenio

The Invenio singers are bringing their innovative and sophisticated choral compositions and performance to Sydney. Formed and led by prodigiously talented singer/composer Gian Slater, the ensemble will tour the country in a condensed 10-piece, down from their usual 16.

With a focus on wordless and extended vocal compositions, Invenio create an expansive celestial sound world that is rarely heard. Clarion/Whisper explores text and song-form with an urgent, dynamic intensity that throws itself between minimalist unison and 8-part layered complexity; hushed text and extended pop exultation; clarion call and delicate whisper.

Having kicked off in their native Melbourne, they reach Sydney on the 25th, on the back of a show in the nation’s capital.

Their show Clarion/Whisper premiered in November 2012 with a 5-star review in The Age. The current tour coincides with the release of their second album of the same name. Don’t miss what will be a magical night of expert singing and conceptual composition.
