If anyone knows her arts, it’s Deborah Jones, formerly Arts Editor of The Australian newspaper. For 25 years Deborah also worked as a journalist, critic, sub editor and executive editor on the paper, much of her work focused on the arts.
On Arts Thursday, 27th of March, Deborah joins Maisy Stapleton to talk about her experiences as a journalist, her views on the role of arts’ critics and her life now as an arts blogger. Importantly, she’s shares her knowledge and her deep and abiding love for the subject she has written about for many years.
Also on the program, we pay a brief visit to Maitland Regional Art Gallery, the first in an intermittent series on culture in the regions. Bridget Uren, Deputy Director of the Gallery tells us what we can find in this gallery, filled with vivid art and stimulating activities for young and old.
