ARTS WEDNESDAY 10 MARCH 2010

All our regular guests will be back this week in the first hour of the program: Bliss Jensen with Now Showing at 9:45 am and Andrew Shapiro with New Antiques at 10:10 am.

My special guest this week at 10:30 am is Paul Brunton, Senior Curator at the Mitchell Library, making a most welcome return to Arts Wednesday. He has curated a new exhibition, entitled 100, featuring 100 objects from the library’s collection to be on display for 100 days to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Mitchell. It is a splendid exhibition and Paul is a most eloquent spokesman for the collection and the stories behind them.

Last week I played music by jazz musicians who took on the classical repertoire: this week it’s the reverse. I’ll be playing music by classical musicians who have tackled the jazz repertoire.

As always, I am looking forward to your company!
